San Francisco Pioneers Solar Power Billboard:

December 8, 2007 | Brian Lebars

lv-billboard.jpgReal Estate is taking on a whole new meaning today in San Francisco.

No, they are not bringing little Las Vegas to San Francisco that is just a small tribute to a great Las Vegas Real Estate site. Off the 101 freeway in San Francisco visible from the 9th Street Exit PG&E has changed the SF sky line as it is known. PG&E energy supplier to California has erected the first ever solar power billboard in San Francisco’s front yard.

The billboard has 20 solar modules that provide 3.4 kilowatts of renewable solar energy. The energy produced by the billboard exceeds the power used to run it through the night.

PG&E is leading the nation in the right direction with this solar powered billboard.
